English to Bisaya Translation
It's more fun in the Philippines! But it gets more fun and interesting when you learn a few things about culture and beliefs of Filipinos. To learn, you must at least know some common words or phrases for easier communication with the locals. Here are some Bisaya or Cebuano words that are useful when you travel in the Visayas region especially in Cebu and Leyte:
Good morning = Maayong buntag
Good noon = Maayong udto
Good everning = Maayong gabii
What's your name? = Unsa imo pangalan?
Where are you from? = Taga asa ka? (If referring to address) or Asa ka gikan? (If referring to where were you earlier)
How old are you? = Pila na imo edad?
Let's eat! = Mangaon ta!
How are you? = Kumusta ka? Or Kumusta?
Beautiful = Gwapa (referring to a person) or Nindot (referring to a place or thing)
Delicious = Lami
Goodbye = Adto nako (or simply Bye)
I like you = Ganahan ko nimo
I want you = Gusto tika
I love you = Gihigugma tika
Sleep now = Tulog na
Take care = Pag-amping
Although some of these words may vary in terms of accent, spelling, and pronunciation across the different provinces, town or cities, but locals may still be able to understand you.
These are just few of the many words we usually use everyday. Additional translations can be added soon. Hope this helps.
P.S. you can comment some of the words you want to be translated and I'll try my best to answer. Thanks.
